UNCC Thater and Tech

In collaboration with UNC Charlotte College of Arts + Architecture, DRF brings you “Backstage Pass”. Do you love theater and want to know more about what it takes to put on a show? Then this is the camp for you! This camp is taught by two UNCC professors! If you are interested in the tech aspects of theater or would love to know more about the backstage production process, then join us for one week of in depth learning and application of all things theater and tech. Girls will learn about sets, costumes, lighting, sound, and stage management. It will be an incredible experience partnered with UNC Charlotte Performing Arts Services and Dottie Rose Foundation. DATE June 10-14 TIME 9 am – 4 pm, Mon-Fri AGES 5th – 8th LOCATION UNCC  

The Algorithm of Cooking

Our program is an exciting and educational week-long camp planned for middle school students! Combining kitchen safety, food preparation, healthy eating habits, programming, animation creation, and cooking to engage students in a variety of skills and subjects. By integrating technology, agriculture, cooking, and teamwork, our camp offers a holistic and engaging learning experience for middle school students.  Our goal is to inspire their interest in these fields and promote healthy eating habits. DATE June 17-21 TIME 9 am – 4 pm, Mon-Fri AGES 5th – 8th LOCATION TBD  

Lego Robotics

This camp will utilize Spike Prime Lego Robotics. We will begin with simple builds and work our way up to more complex builds and challenges. Students will combine engineering principles and computer science as they learn to code their Spike Primes. DATE June 24-28 TIME 9 am – 4 pm, Mon-Fri AGES 5th – 8th LOCATION AvidXchange
