-Code and compete in robot adventures with Finch and Sphero

Parents Who Build: Raising Kids in the Age of AI is a 90-minute, hands-on conversation for parents who want to understand and shape the way their children engage with emerging technology. In this discussion, Bethany Crystal, a mom of two and founder of Build First Academy, will share a simple framework for healthy AI use and examples of real apps that parents have built with AI for and with their kids. We’ll then hear from Dr. Sharon Jones, Founder and CEO of the Dottie Rose Foundation, will reflect on what kids are already showing us about digital ability. Then we’ll break into small groups to discuss hopes and concerns, and get a short, playful intro to Scribblins, an app that turns children’s drawings into imaginative AI-powered creations. The session is designed to be practical, candid, and grounded in real family life so parents leave feeling informed, connected, and better equipped to guide their kids in an AI-native world.
