APP LAB PROJECT  

Ages: 10 – 14
Date: 5 Saturdays throughout the Spring

9AM – 1 PM each Saturday

Girls will learn the process of app development, from brainstorming and designing ideas to building and pitching apps. We believe that the experience of creating an app that runs on a device can spark the enthusiasm that will propel our developers to pursue further tech education. Through hands on work, expert instruction, community connections, girls will develop and bring an app to market.

HERS: Health Education Responsibility Sisterhood

Ages: 11 – 14
Date: Wednesday afternoons in February

Location: Microsoft Store at SouthPark Mall

The merge of health tech, anatomy, and computer science This after school program is designed to introduce girls to real genuine anatomy, enhance their understanding of the human body as it pertains to women’s health, fitness and overall wellness. We will accomplish this through the application of health tech programs, augmented reality, and industry experts.

GIRLS IN STEM Day

Date: February 29, 2020
Time:
9AM – 2PM
Location: Eckos
Cost: $50

Students will spend a fun filled day working with professionals from two of the top startups in the Charlotte area, Eckos and Executive Search Solution. They will work through three interactive stations including coding, exploring the science of leap year, and a data science mystery. In addition, we will have a round table discussion and tour of both companies with lunch and fun!

BUILDING BIOLOGY BYTES

Ages: 11 – 14
Date: April 5-6, 2020

9AM – 4PM
Location: Experience Anatomy 
Cost: $50

In this two day workshop, girls will create and explore the biology of sustainability and how we can create change. They will learn about the importance of understanding the science and application of biological processes and create their own experiments that will help create new environmental products while applying computer science fundamentals and coding.
